At Community Health Center of the North Country our number one priority is the health and safety of our patients. To help ensure the safety of our patients, their family members, and our community, we are advising anyone who has traveled in the past 30 days, and anyone who is experiencing any symptoms such as cough, fever or shortness of breath, to please call the health center before any scheduled appointment. Community Health Center of the North Country now offers COVID-19 Testing at our Canton Health Center, located at 4 Commerce Lane. If you have an order from your healthcare provider to be tested, or you feel you should be tested, please visit our COVID-19 Testing page for more information.


To help further reduce the spread of possible illnesses, we are asking that only the patient themselves enter the building for their medical appointment, unless said patient requires a caregiver to attend the appointment with them. All other family members or those in company of the patient must remain in their vehicle and may not enter the building. Patients with children who are not being seen by a provider must make arrangements for childcare prior to their appointment.




Our full line of Dental Services are once again available. Please contact our Dental Department at (315) 386-8191 to schedule your next appointment in Canton. Dental services are also now available at our new Ogdensburg health center.



Optical Services are once again available. Exams, as well as eyeglass pickup and adjustments are by appointment only at this time. Please contact our Optometry Department in Canton at: 315-386-8191 and in Watertown at: 315-786-0983 to schedule your next appointment. Thank you for your patience. Your safety is our number one priority.



The recommendation from New York State Department of Health, effective March 17th, is that all non-essential services be postponed until further notice. Please contact our Physical Therapy Department in Canton at (315) 386-8191 for further clarification. Our team will be in contact to reschedule existing appointments. There are currently no cases of COVID-19 at our health centers at this time.



St. Lawrence and Franklin County WIC are also changing practices to protect the community and their clients. Effective immediately, all WIC appointments will be handled through phone calls only. Please call your local WIC office for more information. At this time, walk-in clients are NOT being taken.
