Dr. Williams is a Harvard trained physician, board certified in Internal Medicine. In addition to working as a Physician and Chief Medical Officer for Community Health Center of the North Country, he is also the Associate Chief Medical Officer at St. Lawrence Health Systems and an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Rochester School of Medicine.
Dr. Williams has received numerous awards and honors for his academic achievement, most recently the 2020 Dr. Gary Ogden Rural Health Practitioner of the Year Award and the Fort Drum Regional Health Planning Organization's 2021 Health Hero Award. He is an active member of 3 different medical societies: American College of Physicians, Massachusetts Medical Society, and American Society of Echocardiography.
Christine originally attended SUNY Canton to earn her Associate of Science and Registered Professional Nursing degrees. Following graduation she attended the University of Phoenix where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2008. Christine then earned her Master of Science in Nursing, graduating from Stony Brook University in 2012. Prior to joining our team, she worked at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center and with Dr. Tracy Laflair in Ogdensburg. Olivia Eibert is a Certified Physician Assistant and the newest member of our Health Center team. Olivia graduated from Clarkson University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology before receiving her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Le Moyne College in Syracuse in 2017. Since completing her Master degree, she has worked as both a Hospitalist PA and a Critical Care PA at St. Peter's Health Partners in Albany, NY. Growing up in Star Lake and knowing first hand the struggles we face within our rural communities when it comes to finding accessible healthcare, Olivia has returned to the North Country and is excited to be providing high quality preventive care at our Canton Health Center.
Dr. Nicholas Gardner, DDS has practiced dentistry in Gouverneur, New York since 2005. Growing up in Rossie, Dr. Gardner, starting at age 12, told his family, friends and anyone that would listen about his dreams of becoming a dentist. Nick earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Biology from Le Moyne College in 1998, and then went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in May of 2004. Moving back to New York, he completed a one year General Practice Residency at The University of Rochester's Strong Memorial Hospital. He joined our health center team 3 years ago as our Director of Dental services, and also sees patients on Mondays. He also continues to operate his private practice in Gouverneur.
Dr. Saleem received his medical degree from the World University School of Medicine in the Dominican Republic in 1985, followed by post-graduate residency training in Psychiatry at Nassau County Medical Center in New York. He has broad-based and comprehensive clinical experience in Psychiatry, with inpatient as well as outpatient services. Dr. Saleem has practiced for many years in the North Country, at locations that include Carthage Area Hospital, Samaritan Medical Center, St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center, and Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center.
Jackie received her Bachelor degree in Nursing from Jacksonville State University in 2011. She went on from there to receive her Master of Science in Nursing in 2015 and her Doctor of Nursing in 2016. Finally, in 2018 she obtained her Post-Master Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She is also providing in-person care at our Gouverneur location. Her services are also available at all of our locations on our Telehealth Platform.
Anne earned her Master of Social Work from Syracuse University in 1988 while working as a Social Worker and a Child Care Worker at Elmcrest Children's Center in Syracuse, New York. She has also previously worked at the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center as a Psychologist Assistant and a Social Worker, and worked several years at St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES as a Certified School Social Worker.
Dr. Ludlow graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1999, ranking 17th out of a class of 140. He is a dedicated professional with 17 years of experience, most recently on base at Fort Drum and with Center for Sight. He works on-site with our current Optician, which enables our team to integrate exam and optical all in one convenient location for you, the patient.
