Community Health Center of the North Country offers Pediatric Healthcare Services at our Gouverneur, Malone, and Ogdensburg health center locations starting at birth. Our Pediatricians can provide the crucial first steps in healthcare your baby requires to live a long and healthy life.
Children ages 5 and up can be seen at all of our health center locations, and in Ogdensburg Dr. Patel accepts patients from birth to early adulthood. Derek Fenton will see patients 4 years of age and up.

Our team accepts many different insurances for healthcare services, including Child Health Plus. Please visit the FAQS section or call ahead to see if we accept yours!
If you are uninsured, please do not let that stop you from seeking healthcare for your child. Call ahead to see if you are eligible for our sliding fee scale, which can offer a discount where your child's visit could cost as little as $15.

What types of services do you offer?
Our Pediatric Healthcare providers make sure that your child is meeting developmental milestones in growth, behavior, and skills, they diagnose and treat illnesses, infections, injuries, and other health problems, as well as provide information about your child's health, safety, nutrition, and fitness needs. Our providers also educate parents and families on the importance of infant immunizations and make sure that your child is up to date on their vaccines according to the recommended immunization schedule.

Do you offer Telehealth?
Yes, we do! Telehealth not only allows you to receive the same quality healthcare that we offer in our health centers from the comfort of your own home, but it also allows healthcare professionals to consult with each other on your healthcare concerns from different locations. Telehealth is not only convenient for patients and providers, it reduces visit costs, patient travel time, and increases access to care in our rural communities.
Do you offer same day appointments?
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911. If you or someone in your care is suffering from a medical issue that you feel you should be seen for quickly, please call our health center. Our staff will do our best to make sure that you or the affected person will be seen by one of our providers as soon as possible.
Is now a safe time to receive in-person Pediatric services?
Yes, we follow all CDC and NYS Department of Health guidelines extremely closely, including disinfecting procedures and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
