Accountant

Our team seeks qualified candidates for the position of Accountant. This position based in Canton will assist in the coordination of daily activities of the finance department as well as provide general accounting responsibilities. The position requires an Associate's Degree in Accounting, Bachelor of Science in Accounting is preferred. Related field and a minimum of three to five years accounting experience required. Experience in accounting computer applications and in a non-profit setting as well as knowledge of health centers and the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) preferred.

Administrative Assistant

Administrative Assistant

We have just started the search to find a motivated individual for the position of Administrative Assistant in our Canton Health Center. This position will monitor, screen, respond to, and distribute incoming communication including calls and emails for the Chief Operating Officer, Clinical Development Manager and the Practice Manager. The Administrative Assistant coordinates travel, meeting, and event arrangements as necessary. An Associate’s Degree in an office or business field required with 1-3 years of office experience preferred.

Billing & Collections Specialist

Billing & Collections Specialist

Our health centers are growing, and our team is currently recruiting for the position of Billing and Collections Specialist. This position will work out of our Canton location. Duties include performing accurate and timely billing as well as collection of payments for all billable Health Center services. Qualified applicants must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Three years of experience in medical billing is preferred.

Certified Coder

Our expanding network of Health Centers requires two full time Certified Coders. Job duties include, but are not limited to, reviewing and analyzing health records to identify relevant diagnosis, reviewing procedures for distinct patient encounters, and conducting a review of records to ensure compliance with coding and documentation guidelines as well as governmental regulations. This position requires a Certified Coder certification through AAPC or AHIMA and advanced computer skills to include: EMR, Word, Excel, and Access. Both positons will be based in Canton.

Corporate Compliance Officer/Director of Quality Assurance

Community Health Center of the North Country is currently accepting applications for a full-time Corporate Compliance Officer/Director of Quality Assurance. This position oversees the administration and implementation of the agency's Corporate Compliance Plan, conducts regular review of the Corporate Compliance Plan's effectiveness and propose modifications as deemed appropriate, ensures patient safety through the development and maintenance of systems to detect and manage patient adverse events as well as proactive measures to evaluate areas of risk in the health center, investigates alleged violations and cooperate with appropriate parties to handle violations promptly, conducts and coordinates QA reviews to assess compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and assists in the development and maintenance of agency Policy and Procedures Manuals.

Position requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or a health-related field, three (3) years experience in a health or human services field and knowledge of DOH, OMIG and OPWDD regulations.

Patient Access / Switchboard Supervisor

Patient Access / Switchboard Supervisor

Our team currently seeks a Patient Access/Switchboard Supervisor. This position is responsible for the day to day supervision, training and data integrity of the Patient Access (Registration, Reception, Scheduling) and Switchboard functions within CHCNC’s Canton location. This person will assist in the implementation of transforming the practices into a patient-centered medical care site. Position will involve travel to other CHCNC locations as needed, to provide education and training to Patient Access staff. Requirements include an Associates Degree in Business Administration or related field, or a minimum of two (2) years previous office supervisory/lead experience in a healthcare setting, as well as a strong human resources management/administrative background. Strong knowledge of health center registration and switchboard operations preferred.

We are seeking candidates for the position of Performance Improvement Analyst. This position is responsible for the day to day implementation of the Health Center’s Clinical Quality Management Program and associated Work plan. The Performance Improvement Manager assists in the implementation and measurement of Patient Centered Medical Home, Pay-for-Performance, Uniform Data Set, Patient Satisfaction and other clinical quality initiatives. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Our team is currently seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis with recommendations for treatment, prescribe medications as conditions indicate, and conduct follow-ups. The successful candidate will be part of a comprehensive, multidisciplinary healthcare team made up of licensed clinicians, LCSW's, nurses and case managers, and will work with the team to provide quality care to the individuals served.

Qualified Nutritionist - WIC

Qualified Nutritionist - WIC

The Qualified Nutritionist for our WIC Program is a professional who supports the mission, goals and objectives of Community Health Center of the North Country by improving nutritional services in the WIC Program. This staff person will follow standards for the assessment process used to determine WIC eligibility, and personalize nutrition education, high risk care plans, referrals, and tailoring of food packages. Position based in Malone at Community Health Center of the North Country.

Requirements:
Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Nutrition, along with flexibility in work hours which includes working evenings and Saturdays and attending trainings as assigned, and a valid driver’s license for travel between St. Lawrence and Franklin Counties.

Registration/ Reception

We are seeking candidates for a full-time Registration/Reception position at our Canton Health Center. Position requires one year in a medical related field or office setting, or specialized education in a medical or business office field. Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in dealing with patient information is a must, and a High School Diploma or GED equivalent is also required. Knowledge of and/or experience with federally qualified health centers preferred. Candidate must be able to learn quickly, work independently and as a team member, and be willing to work some evenings.

Located in Canton, this position will be responsible for providing and documenting any participant-centered nutrition education responsive to the identified needs/interests of participants and promote healthy lifestyles plan, including physical activity options in the clinic and community. Requirements: Registered Nutrition and Dietetic Technician OR Registered Nurse with Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate health-related field with at least six credit hours in nutrition.
